The Dispatcher for Aircraft Cleaning and Wheelchair Services is responsible for efficiently coordinating and managing the deployment of cleaning personnel and wheelchair attendants throughout the airport. This role involves scheduling tasks, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining clear communication with staff and passengers to provide timely and effective service. The dispatcher plays a crucial role in optimizing resource distribution and response times to ensure smooth operations and a high level of service for both aircraft cleanliness and passenger mobility assistance.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the dispatch of wheelchair and cleaning services throughout the airport
Manage the scheduling and routing to maximize efficiency ensuring timely completion of tasks
Track the availability and location of wheelchairs and mobility equipment
Maintain clear communication and collaboration with airport staff
Ensure compliance with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) guidelines and airport regulations
Provide training and guidance to Wheelchair Attendants/Aircraft Cleaners on proper handling and safety protocols
Respond promptly to service requests and emergencies
Manage scheduling and routing to maximize efficiency
Track the availability and location of equipment and personnel
Monitor service quality and passenger satisfaction
Maintain records and logs of dispatches and services provided
Oversee maintenance and readiness of equipment
Develop and implement procedures to improve service delivery
Exceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
May be assigned other duties as required
Requirements
18 years of age or older
Eligible to work in the United States
Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
1 year of wheelchair and customer service experience
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
Ability to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
Effectively communicate both in-person and through electronic means
Pass a background check and drug screen
Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation
