We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of two established beauty salons offering nails, facials, waxing, and related services. This is a hands-on leadership role within a multi-site, service-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff rostering, timekeeping, sick leave tracking, and attendance records
  • Ensuring adequate staffing levels across both locations
  • Managing staff training schedules and coordinating supplier training
  • Conducting daily hygiene audits and ensuring operational compliance
  • Overseeing daily cash handling and cash reconciliation
  • Managing professional and retail stock control, daily stock counts, and ordering
  • Monitoring stock usage and minimising wastage
  • Driving team performance against monthly sales targets and KPIs
  • Maintaining service quality standards through regular service checks
  • Managing customer feedback and complaint resolution
  • Managing local marketing initiatives, promotions, and social media platforms
  • Providing ad hoc operational support and assistance to the business owner

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in operations management, salon management, or retail management
  • Experience in a service-based or customer-facing environment
  • Beauty therapy qualification or salon experience advantageous but not essential
  • Willingness to learn about the beauty industry and retail products
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Own reliable transport
  • Ability to travel between two stores within a 5km radius
  • Flexible availability aligned with shopping centre trading hours
  • Weekend availability as required: One weekend off per month, One full weekend per month spent working on the salon floor
