Responsibilities
Efficiently load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to safety standards.
Perform inventory management tasks including stock counting, inventory control, and updating warehouse management systems such as AS400 or RF scanners.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision using order pickers and other materials handling tools.
Operate mechanical equipment to move large or heavy materials safely within the warehouse.
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, ensuring all documentation complies with OSHA regulations.
Assist in warehouse stocking activities, organizing materials for easy access and optimal storage solutions.
Support warehouse supervision by following established procedures for warehouse distribution, safety protocols, and quality control.
Experience
Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in inventory management systems like AS400 or RF scanners.
Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Knowledge of materials handling techniques including heavy lifting, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes.
Prior experience in warehouse supervision or managing warehouse operations is preferred.
Mechanical knowledge related to operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
Understanding of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse settings.
